Beeps and boops start filling the air as you trudge your way through a mess of wires and coolant tubing. As you progress towards a dim light in the distance, you start feeling a strange urge rise within you. At first, it's nothing but the closer you get to the light, the stronger it grows. At last, you reach the source of the light: a lone computer monitor, beset upon an altar spattered with thermal paste. Your duty suddenly becomes clear. You sit on the ceremonial throne and crack your knuckles, yes... It's GAMING TIME.

Welcome to the gaming hub of this website, where i talk about anything concerning gaming: progress on my games, thoughts on the gaming industry, thoughts on what im playing, rants about video games etc.
I plan on posting links to the games I make as they come out though ive yet to publish anything.

As an introduction to this page, it's perhaps wise to introduce my thoughts about games. First, bideo ganes are cool i think; second, i make them and play them and watch people play them also. im interested in video games as 1) an artform 2) a gamer and 3) the subject of scientific analysis. In terms of game studies, I'm of the opinion that games are juste one type of games among the vast expanse of games humans and other animals have been partaking in since the dawn of time. As such, I don't believe that video games are neither above or below any other type of games such as sports, gambling, ttrpg, improv, etc. This is something I aim to study as an academic in the future (when im done with my master's in linguistics and have more free time) While I think video games are art, I do not believe in a dualist way that things are either art vs not art or game vs not game, and that things do not need to be labled to be understood. These beliefs have lead me to see games and art as omnipresent in humanity (Kant said that humans are homo loquens, Huizinga said that humans are homo ludens, and tbh, facts). Anyways, prepare to read about this kind of drivel if you plan on visiting here sometimes in the future.

In terms of what i like to play: pretty much anything, id say some of my favorite games are dnd (i mostly DM) and cruelty squad, minecraft etc. It's impossible to really say any one game is my favorite and my top games is becoming increasingly bigger with timee. If you want to really dig into my gaming history, go check out my Glitchwave profile, just dont take my ratings to seriously. I really enjoy writing dnd campaigns and writing my own ttrpg rulesets, you can learn more about the various projects ive undertaken here. I also am working on a few different games but very slowly because i dont have a lot of free time and solo game dev life is grueling. In terms of game making frameworks I only use godot and write everything in GDscript though ive started dabbling in Löve and learning lua. Ive also started drafting a project that im going to code in python because it's the language im the best at and this project doesnt require an extansive user interface. ive also dabbled in game making in C and C++ with SDL and in pyhton with pygame though i never developped any large projects and dont really plan on getting back into this anytime soon (i litterally have nightmares about coding games in C++).

anyways, that's it for this intro, have fun reading and exploring the rest of the page/website.
